Water Assisted Liposuction (WAL)

Body-Jet® guarantees highest protection, comfort and effectiveness for patient. The procedure is performed under regional anaesthesia, which does not require hospitalisation. During WAL with catheter special solution is injected under pressure, which releases fat cells from connective tissue saving more fibrous structures at the same time (nerves and vessels).

This substance anaesthetises an operated area and constrict blood vessels to minimise bleeding, and then through the same catheter it is liposucted with undesired fat cells. As a result of regional constriction of blood vessels due to adrenaline, the removed fat tissue encompasses normally 1-3% of blood. During the procedure of classic liposuction performed under general anaesthesia the amount might increase to 40% in a given sample.

It might cause the necessity of blood transfusion during the procedure. Not only does improved haemostasis diminish blood loss but also results in reduced extravasations.

Procedures with the use of Body-Jet® device are already performed in 400 large clinics all over the world and their effectiveness was confirmed by FDA certificate issued in 2008 by American Food and Drug Administration.
