Treatment Description

Ulthera is a procedure designed for non-invasive facial lifting. With this treatment, it is possible to rejuvenate the face without incisions, scars, bruising, or injections – meaning without disrupting the continuity of the skin.

The non-invasive nature of Ulthera is comparable to a surgical facelift. The method works by focusing ultrasound energy on selected areas and at specific depths. This treatment precisely stimulates the skin’s natural repair processes, activating fibroblasts to produce new collagen fibers. Thanks to the action of concentrated ultrasound wave impulses, the skin’s structure and supportive framework are regenerated exactly where needed, resulting in increased skin density and firmness.

Ulthera precisely contours the face and counteracts the effects of gravity.

Different transducers allow energy to be delivered at the appropriate depth depending on the treatment area. It is the first treatment of its kind to offer such precise and non-invasive lifting of soft tissues.

Treatment Effects

The results depend on the individual characteristics of the patient and the condition of their skin. Ulthera therapy provides an immediate increase in skin density, resulting in a smoother appearance. The lifting and tightening effects develop gradually over up to 90 days after the procedure and are maintained for at least one year. The latest studies show that the results can last up to 2–3 years. The treatment can be repeated.

Ulthera reduces skin laxity and sagging not only around the eyes, but also in the cheeks, jawline, and chin area. As a result, the face gains a refreshed and more youthful appearance. The procedure allows for exceptionally precise facial contouring and delivers spectacular skin rejuvenation results.

Indications

The treatment is intended for individuals with lowered eyebrows, excess skin on the upper eyelids, drooping eyelids, sagging cheeks, a lax chin area, deep nasolabial folds, loss of jawline definition, and downturned corners of the mouth.

Contraindications

Open wounds or lesions on the face, acne breakouts, metal stents and implants (not an absolute contraindication, but they must be reported to the practitioner), bioabsorbable mechanical implants, implanted electronic devices, active systemic or local skin diseases, anticoagulant therapy, bleeding disorders, and other hemostatic dysfunctions.

Treatment Duration

The duration depends on the treatment area and typically ranges from 1 to 2 hours. The procedure requires no downtime, and you can return to your daily activities immediately.
