On the market there are many types of aesthetic threads, differing in purpose, hence the material from which they are made, structure and the way of they are applied. Although all types are assumed for one purpose – lifting the sagging tissues up, it is easy to guess that the final effect and recovery time will depend on the nature of the thread. The simplest way of sharing a plurality of threads on the market is a method of application, regardless of the material from which they are made.

Method I: application of ready kit with a needle and thread, of a different thickness and length – a thread PDO (polydioxanone – fully absorbable) is supplied by producers ready for application of thin needle may exist in different embodiments – a straight, spiral, double spiral, with hooks. They are established in the SMAS (Superficial Muscular Aponeurotic System), which is a layer of fascial face. The result is thickening, stiffness and tension of this layer due to the formation of a network of intersecting strands. Lifting effect is subtle, and the procedure can be considered as prevention of facial aging. The advantage of surgery is zero or minimal patient downtime from normal functioning and relatively low price.

Method II: The application of  threads with “embedded” counter-needles

There are for example very popular in the market Silhouette Soft – strand made of polylactic acid and glycolic acid resin-coated, there are anchor cones made of the same material on the thread .The procedure under local anesthesia, is performed by introduction of micro cut and insertion along the two different vectors of long thin needles with attached strands. After deriving the skin surface of the needle and the excess thread are cut off while tensioning the tissue. The effect of elevation is clear. On the Polish market, most of the distributors of threads offer such products. The advantages of treatment is  easy of execution and low traumatic. The disadvantages of surgery is its high price, increasing with the amount of applied material and the use of needles (the possibility of petechiae and bruising)

Third way: application of thread “free” with a cannula or needle

– Include. Strand of polycaprolactone (biocompatible, resorbable) Happy Lift. In local anesthesia (or for those who are more vulnerable, combined with light sedation)they are carried out along a pre-determined vectors cannula (tube ended mildly) which thread is inserted in. Depending on where the application can get the effect of lifting, or collect soft tissues is obtained. Lifting effect is clear and lasts long. The effectiveness of the procedure determines how the patient’s always a good qualification, and the number of strands established. The advantages of the surgery is their high efficiency and adequacy to the price of the treatment. The disadvantage  of this method is the highest in the midst mentioned above trauma and at least 2 weeks of work-off.

This division, however, does not exhaust the issue, should brighten the image of facelifting thread market.
