Treatment of varicose veins
In the treatment of varicose veins, we specialize since the 90s. We introduce and use the latest techniques in the field of phlebology (branch Of medicine dealing with treatment of veins). We are members of the PTF (Polish Society of Phlebology), participate in conferences and courses to implement best practices in this field.
Treatment:
There are two methods of treatment of varicose veins: traditional – very invasive surgical method done “on the NFZ”, and minimally invasive, intravascular method using lasers – EVLT, RF – EVRF, steam – SSV and chemicals entering the vascular catheter. For obvious reasons, we will only discuss second mode of treatment, For even the largest varicose veins, it is performed without lumbar(the so-called. “Stinging spine”) or general anesthesia. Anesthesia includes only the areas in which treatments can be performed this the patient goes home on his own 20-30 min. after surgery. During the treatment of damaged veins they are closed and disappear over time. 1 – 2 small marks punctures and 0.5 cm incisionremain on the skin for only several weeks. Sidings (varicose veins) are removed using sclerotherapy (see Fig. Sclerotherapy p. …) or mikroflebectomia. Duration of treatment 1- 1.5 hours. Bruising if occurs is small. suitable compression stocking is assumed Directly on the operating table, the patient wears it for 2 – 3 weeks.
