Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia (latin gynaecomastia) is a one- or two-sided enlargement of the male breast, resulting from the proliferation of adenocarcinoma, fibrotic or adipose tissue. This problem affects many men of all ages and most often it causes serious complexes and dissatisfaction with one’s own body. Men who struggle with gynecomastia, plastic surgery offers modern and safe solutions –  depending on the cause, liposuction or removal of the gland. Thanks to them, it is possible to remove overweight nipples and get the desired male torso.

Causes of Gynecomastia

Because of the hormonal fluctuations, the problem of gynecomastia often affects boys in the period of growth (14-16 years). Gynecomastia is caused by an increase in the level estradiol versus testosterone and as such is treated as a natural, physiological phenomenon that does not require medical intervention. In 60% male youth gynecomastia disappears upon reaching puberty, in other cases, it is transformed into fatty, fatty-fibrous or adenoid-gynecomastia.

The appearance of gynecomastia in adult males may be caused by overweight (in this case lipomastia or gynecomastia is used)period of andropause, kidney or liver disease, hormonal disorders, alcohol abuse, use of drugs (especially cardiac and hypotension). To accurately determine the cause of gynecomastia, after the exclusion of diseases of hormonal and systemic nature, ultrasound diagnosis is performed. The study allows us to determine the type of tissue that is built around the skin.

Treatment of fatty gynecology
